South Jersey Eye Associates, PA is looking for a self-motivated, fast-learning individual to join our team. Job description as follows:
CLINICAL TECHNICIAN (Millville Location)
Duties
- Greet and welcome patients from waiting area and escort to pre-testing area. Once in pre-testing area obtain history, chief complaint (if patient is here for a problem). Perform visual acuity, aided/non-aided. Perform autorefraction and refraction with Epic system. Instill dilation drops, if required.
- Perform photos: Optos and/or Eidon systems.
- Take patient into exam room and prepare data in EHR in preparation for Physician examination. Enter data into EHR as physician performs examination, including procedure and diagnosis codes.
- Upon completion of examination, escort patient to check out area or optical area relaying all pertinent information.
- Prior Authorizations for patient’s prescription, order contact lenses/Trial contact lenses for patients. Contact lens instructions- assisting patients with insertion/removal of contact lenses, clean exam rooms, return patient messages.
- Technician will also be required to perform visual fields, OCT’s, IOP’s
