July is Ultra-Violet (UV) Safety Month. A reminder that there’s more to sunglasses than looking good in them. You need quality lenses that protect your eyes from dangerous UV rays, which can cause cancers, cataracts, and irreversible macular degeneration.

Be sure to schedule a comprehensive dilated eye exam at least once a year, where your doctor at SJEA can check for signs of damage from harmful UV rays. Early treatment may save your vision.
